The film opens with shots of the Ohio farming country and then focuses on the farm of Tom Bennett, whose cornfields are washed away by a sudden downpour. He consults the county agent who shows Tom how to keep the soil from washing way by means of contour plowing. When a fire destroys the barn of another farmer the county agent produces blueprints for another barn. When the wheat crop is attacked by blight the county agent analyzes the situation for the farmer so that it will not be repeated the following year. The county agent, in short, serves the farmer constantly with friendly advice and useful information for the improvement of the agricultural community. Well photographed.
